Selena Worster Walde
Chief Executive Officer
Selena has 15 years of management experience in the energy efficiency and construction industry. She has built and managed teams from 3 – 60 and is passionate about coaching employees with the goal of achieving a more sustainable energy future. While at Nexant, she led the ComEd Small Business Energy Savings program implementation team to increase savings from 6 GWh to over 200 GWh in four years. The program won the 2016 Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance Impact Award. Prior to joining Nexant, Selena was a Project Manager at Mechanical, Inc. where she specialized in managing large HVAC construction projects. She holds a BS and MS in Civil Engineering from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Selena is a Registered PE in the State of Illinois and a LEED Accredited Professional. She also was the National Advocacy Co-Representative for the US Green Building Council Illinois Chapter and was in a leadership position with the chapter from 2008–2011.
Lydia Mezey West
Chief Operating Officer
Lydia Mezey is a former Vice President for Nexant’s Utility Services business unit. In this capacity, she focused on the creation, review, and implementation of division-wide operating procedures, processes, training programs, and tools, as well as key budget and program financial management. She was a key contributor to corporate wide policy reviews and updates and process improvement working groups. Lydia gained extensive experience in project financial management, reporting, operations management, large program administration, office operations, administration, and project coordination throughout her last 25 plus years. Prior to her role as the division’s Director, she served as the Manager of Business Operations. Prior to joining the Division, Lydia was the Project Accounting Manager for all of Nexant’s global operations (seven entities in total). In this capacity, she streamlined all of Nexant’s project financial processes and project financial reporting tools and report designs. She maximized the productivity of her team as Nexant doubled in size, holding operating costs for her team steady for more than five years. Lydia holds a BA in Foreign Service and International Relations from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA in International Finance from The American University.
Anna Allenstein
Senior Project Manager
Anna joined Erthe Energy Solutions in 2019 as a Project Manager. She contributes expertise in program design and implementation, strategic and tactical marketing, and launching innovative projects. Her previous experience includes: delivering commercial, industrial, and residential energy efficiency programs for utilities nation-wide while at Nexant specifically focusing on campaign design and management, marketing innovation, market research, and spatial analysis; designing, launching, and managing a hazardous material collection program for Tradewater; and overseeing the retail electric supply market for the Illinois Commerce Commission. Anna holds a BS in Urban and Regional Planning with a minor in International Development from Michigan State University and a Masters in Urban Planning and Policy with a Certificate in Geospatial Analysis and Visualization from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Rekha Kumar
Analyst/Project Coordinator
Rekha joined Erthe Energy Solutions in 2022 as an Analyst and Project Coordinator. She brings 10 plus years of experience as an urban planner and sustainability champion. Rekha has spent her career developing award-winning plans, navigating the nuances of zoning codes and land use regulations, advocating for the inclusion of sustainable standards within ordinances, and analyzing regional economic impacts of projects and policies. Her broad array of skills in design, development, spatial planning, problem-solving, research, and data analysis strengthen our team’s capabilities. At her previous position as a Planning Liaison with the City of Cincinnati, she worked on integrating green infrastructure guidelines and sustainable stormwater management standards into city-wide development projects and policymaking. Rekha holds a Bachelor’s in Architecture from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (India) and a Master’s in Community Planning from the University of Cincinnati. She is an accredited planner with the American Institute of Certified Planners.
